Here is an Apple TV hack for parents.
I was just working with my DVD library and moving a few things onto my Apple TV. My plan is to file away the dvd’s to clear some space in our family room cabinet.
Once I transfer the dvd to my Mac computers hard drive – I rename the file to include the movie’s rating. For Example, the one that I am working with right now is Scooby Doo 2. The rating is PG. So I name the file Scooby Doo 2 – PG.
This way I know at a glance that the movie that my children have selected to watch is age appropriate. Since the ages of my children span 7 years – what is ok for one child to watch may not be right for another.
