It’s time again for the Labor Day App Sale at iTunes!

A good number of apps are listed at deep discount (many for only 99 cents!) for this weekend only – so act fast!

Here is a list of some of the markdowns:

Applications by EA Games

Applications by Glu Games

All games from Adult Swim (very strange name for a game company – hear the parents collectively shudder) are 99 cents. Their titles include the very popular Robot Unicorn Attack, Amateur Surgeon, 5 Minutes to Kill, Floater Pro and more.

Many Namco games are also on sale – and there lots of 99 cent options to choose from. Titles here include Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, BurgerTime Deluxe, Mr. Driller,  Alpine Racer and more.

There are many more apps with price drops to choose from – but it does take a little time and luck to root around the site. On my wish list is a section of iTunes devoted to Holiday App sales or apps that are marked down. Time will tell.

Mac is Using a PC

I read a little blurb today that had me laughing out loud (or shall I say ROTFL).
Anyone familiar with the Apple’s “I’m a Mac and I’m a PC ads” – (let the following picture jog your memory):
will get a kick out of this too.
It seems that the Mac dude (ok – he does have a [...]

Untitled DVD Burn Folder in Finder Sidebar

I recently burned backed up my iPhoto library by burning the entire thing to a series of DVD’s.
After finishing this project – I deleted all of the burn folders from my desktop. But for some odd reason they remained in my Finder sidebar. I tried clicking on them, pressing delete, and a whole bunch of [...]

The Apple iPad and My New Website

I have been floundering around with this website for way too long. Finally, I decided to scrap what wasn’t working and start something new.
Since Apple came out with their new must have gadget – I decided to jump on the bandwagon, so to speak. I have been fascinated with all that the Apple iPad has [...]

Surge Protectors for Mac Computers

Yesterday I wrote a page about the necessity of surge protectors for mac computers. I have provided a link to that page here on the blog.

For those of you familiar with blogging and websites – you may have noticed that I have recently been waffling between the two structures to figure out what works best [...]

Database Software for Mac

I also find database software for Mac computers to be very useful.

Life is full of things and keeping track of them is important. The program that I like the most for this purpose is Bento by Filemaker. It is a sophisticated package and is developed by a large company with tons of experience with this [...]

Journal Software for Macs

Good journal software for Mac is a bit difficult to find. I think this is because the range of expectations is very wide. After all, a journal is basically a book filled with blank pages – ready to take anything that a person wants to write.

Offline – this is a simple concept. [...]

What Mac Accessories Can’t You Live Without?

While an Apple Mac computer works great on it’s own – there are lots cool gadgets to make it even better. Some things are just required – like good surge protectors for computers. Other things are just fun to own – and then there is everything in between.
Since I am a research nut – I [...]

Apple iPhone vs. Palm

Just a little interesting trivia. According to Website Magazine – Palm sold 408,000 of its phones during it’s third quarter and Apple sold 8.7 million iPhone units during the same period of time. (quoting from memory here but I think I have that right)
Glad I picked the right one!

Using Mac Recipe Software to Organize the Kitchen

I love to use my Mac to create order out of all the magazine clippings and off the box recipes that I seem to collect. A good scanner is absolutely necessary for the project (who wants to type everything in manually? – ugh!).

But I actually don’t use an official Mac Recipe software package. I have [...]
