Mac Accessories
No Mac accessories needed – that is the beauty of Apple computers.

Right out of the box the machine is fully functional. The built in iSight camera is all the webcam that I need. The built in speakers on my iMac work just great. And newer models come with an integrated SD card slot that makes uploading pictures a breeze.
That being said – there are so many cool products out there that can enhance the whole Apple experience. Some things – like the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad – are manufactured by Apple itself, while others are made by third parties.
Here are some things that I use or need (sometimes that line between need and want is very blurry
) and my take on how they perform.
First – the basics. Some Mac accessories are just plain necessary. These include the following:
- Good surge protectors for computers
- A USB hub.
- A wireless router.
- A printer.
- A portable scanner.
- An external hard drive for Time Machine backups.
Next up the “nice to haves”:
- iPhones, iPods and the like
- The right Mac keyboard helps make computing more comfortable and fun.
- A variety of Mac Software
- Cases for Apple Mac Laptops
